Hello everyone

The last time I saw you all at school was Friday 14th February when I came and led an assembly. I spoke about Fairtrade, and told you about Zambia, the country in Africa where I spent time 13 years ago. I then went back to Zambia for two weeks holiday, lucky me!! Returning to Scotland on 11th March, just as the impact of Covid-19 was starting to be felt was a bit of a shock.

My goodness how life has changed in the last 3 months! We all have so many worries and fears, and life is painful and difficult for almost everyone. Here are two verses which I turn to again and again.

“6   Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Prayer can be as simple as saying ‘help’ or ‘why’ to God, a Higher Power, or whatever you believe in. Why not give it a try?

Love and blessings to you all from Rev Elspeth MacLean
