Today Primary 1 have had to say goodbye to our friend Pat. He came to us to learn how to be a pirate, so we helped him learn all about the life and job of a pirate. We used books, pictures, the internet and our visit to the Tall Ship to find information to help Pat. However, we also learned that pirates live different lives to us, and in fact they can be quite mean and nasty.
Since it's anti-bullying week, we showed Pat the importance of being kind and helpful and he has decided to go back to Captain X and his crew and help them to become better pirates. We hope to hear from Pirate Pat soon, and we are going to miss him very much!
