As part of Scottish Book Week, we took part in a writing competition where we had to write poems based on the 'Future' theme. This was open to our interpretation of the work future and it was interesting to see the different ideas. These ranged from climate change, after Covid, our future selves and right into aliens and flying cars! The final poems are very impressive.

'It was frustrating initially because I was trying to make it rhyme but I planned it out and thought about it and the rhymes came.'
Ava

'It was hard to think of at the start but once I started writing the ideas came'
Jack

'I enjoyed writing it but it's hard to thing of what life could be like on the foreseeable future'
Freya

'I couldn't think of ideas at the start but once I did I picked my favourite one and it turned out well'
Samuel

'It was easier in my head than when I went to write it'
