In Primary 1 we have been learning about Islands. We have explored maps, globes and Google Earth to spot islands all over the world. We had a look at how many islands were dotted around Scotland and discussed their similarities and differences.
We have been learning about different modes of transport that could be used to get onto an island.
We were also exploring the different services and community buildings that we may spot on an island.
Then we got creative!
Last week we created our beautiful collage seas. Today we drew our key buildings and created our own islands.
We all selected a few key buildings that we wanted to add to our own islands so they are all unique.
Next week we will be deciding on where the perfect place for our houses would be on our own island.
