This is what the nursery children have been playing with, learning about and exploring in the following areas.
literacy: We have been applying our writing skills to create our first name. We have explored upper and lower case letters.
Math/Stem: We have explored a range of Christmas number activities including dot to dot, colour by numbers and Christmas pattern colouring sheets.
Creative: We have explored a variety of activities, using a variety of different media to create pictures and cards. We explored different textures including shaving foam and Christmas themed playdough.
Outdoors: We created exploding snowmen, and created Christmas themed bird feeders that we placed around the school grounds to feed the birds over winter.
Role Play: We created Santa’s living room, complete with a fireplace. We created stockings to hand by the fire and used real food to explore Christmas dinner.
