Primary 2 has had a super first term. Mrs Frame could not be any prouder of the boys and girls for settling so well and working very hard. We have achieved so much since August and we have been reflecting on what parts have been very special.

1. We are half way through the story 'The Enchanted Wood' by Enid Blyton and have met some funny and strange charaters along the way. So far our favourite characters are Silky, Moonface and Saucepan man. We loved the part of the story where the 3 bears got in a snowball fight with the polar bears in the land of the snowman!.

2. We have loved learning all about The Body. A highlight was learning 'Them bones, them bones' we sometimes just put this on to have a little dance to! We loved combining Spanish with Science and learning 'Head, Shoulders, Knee's and Toes'.

3. We have been learning all about numbers to 100. We have particularly enjoyed learning about odd and even numbers. We even made a table to show which is which and made rhyme to remind us.

4. Watching Alice in Wonderland with the whole school was really fun. This turned into a super writing lesson where we learnt all about the features of a recount then got to write one about the play!

5. Last week Mrs Frame left an outdoor activity for the class when she was away last week. We loved collecting things from the outdoors to make a lovely picture of the Faraway Tree! We really enjoyed being outside when it wasn't raining.

6. Primary 2's last magic moment was just this week when we took part in drama. We were walking through a forest when they came across a wishing tree! We  found a magic leaf on the ground, picked it up with both hands and made a wish. When Mrs Frame said 'Action!' the children had to act out as if our wish had came true. Mrs Frame had to try and guess what we had wished for! We had some very funny wishes coming true!

A highlight from Mrs Frame: I was incredibly proud when I returned from camp with the Primary 7's to hear all the wonderful things the teachers in the school had to say about Primary 2. The children worked very hard the week I was away and did themselves proud. I can't wait to see what the next term has in store for us!
Have a happy and safe week off!
