Primary 5 have had a busy week. They have been working hard and learning new things as part of Scottish Maths Week. They focused on their topic of 2D and 3D Shape and completed activities to develop their knowledge of this.

They took part in a shape hunt, Sumdog competition and learned all about the different types of triangles.

Tomorrow they will complete their final maths week challenge by creating a whole class collage made up of different types of triangles. Keep an eye out for our masterpiece!

“I learned that there are 4 different types of triangles; Equilateral, Isosceles, Scalene and Right-Angled.” Mollie

“I learned that in order to find out what type of triangle it is, you need to use a ruler to measure the different sides.” Lauren

“We did a shape hunt in the class and around the school in groups. We are going to count our Postit notes to see what group saw the most shapes.” Marley

“I learned that a right-angled triangle has a 90 degree angle in it.” Caitlin G
