Primary 6 have been incredibly busy celebrating British Science Week! We participated in various activities linked to STEM as part of this. The children created 'Hoop Gliders', learning about gravity, thrust, drag and lift. We trialled these outside too but they weren't as effective as in class!
Today, we made balloon powered cars! Thank you to all the parents/guardians who handed in bits and bobs to help with this. I really appreciated it! We had great fun making these, focussing on working effectively in groups and also recognising that in 'Science' - things don't always work out how we planned! Therefore, the children also developed their ability to evaluate and make changes to see if their car would work better after making one change at a time!
Super STEM learning, Primary 6! I am very proud of you!
