This week, Primary 6 trialled Reciprocal Reading and it was a great success! Reading is a huge focus for us in school at the moment and we continue to work on further developing 'enjoyment of reading' but also focusing on learning new skills along the way.
Reciprocal Reading allows every pupil to take on a role within reading e.g. predictor, clarifier, questioner, summariser etc., ensuring they are focused on their task but also practising expression and fluency during reading aloud. The children all worked so well in their groups and we cannot wait to try some more Reciprocal Reading next week.
