We used the story Mr Jelly as a context to explore emotion words, triggers, body sensations, behaviours and regulation strategies. One of our favourite activities this week was making and tasting jelly. This allowed us to use our instructional writing skills again.
In our classroom we have a calm corner which gives us a quiet space and strategies/resources to help us with our emotional regulation.
The worry monster is there for if we are worried. So are the grown ups. Poppy
