P5, along with P6 and 7 had a fantastic visit from the Science Centre on Friday. It began with us all being shown how the digestive system works with live demonstrations. These certainly weren't for those with a weak stomach with the smells and sights we saw! Mrs Hutchinson was even involved with her class volunteering her as part of the demonstrations. Thanks P5!!
After that we were in our individual classes taking part in a variety of interactive activities which taught us all about the different functions and parts of the body. These went down a storm and were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
The children were extremely well behaved and very attentive throughout, learning so much from the visit to add to our learning in class. Mrs Hutchinson was very impressed by so many answering questions from the Science Centre visitors and they were clearly impressed by our knowledge too!
A great morning had by all!
