Primary 7 have been learning about money. So far, we have looked at budgeting, change, savings and interest. Today we applied our skills and knowledge of buying and selling and profit and loss in our Primary 7 Shopping Centre.

We got into groups and found a location within the classroom to set up our shops. We sourced items and products to sell, and sent our accountants to the bank for our start up loans. Once we had our tills and goods organised we had our grand openings.

Using fake coins and notes up to the value of £50, we went shopping to spend our money. The cashiers had to accurately work out and hand over change. At the end of our session, we totalled our sales and worked out what shop made the most profit. (We even had to chase off one robber, who stole some of our goods and money!)
