Today, Primary 7 became scientists for the afternoon as we conducted a variety of experiments to assess chemical reactions.

We safely conducted 5 experiments in which we mixed two substances (including magnesium, sulphuric acid and potassium permanganate) and observed the reactions. We recorded our results and then discussed these as a class, assessing the evidence of a chemical reaction.

Following this, Miss Clowes conducted some addition experiments for us to observe. These included an exothermic reaction that exploded with a BANG, an endothermic reaction that froze our fingers and a colour change experiment in which two clear liquids reacted to create a bright yellow!

Super learning all round. Well done P7!
