Today, primary 7 visited the Sky Academy Studios in Livingston to take part in their learning programme focused on developing media skills in young people.

In groups, pupils worked together to research, plan, record and edit a news report focused around influencer culture.

The children worked in line with Sky's values of: communication, collaborative and creativity to produce an outstanding report on how we might be influenced in to buying Halloween products at this time of year.

Aaron - I learned that it takes a lot of people and skills to make even a short clip.

Kirk - It was lots of fun learning about the systems and how they make news reports.

Zac - I learned that they use green screens for backgrounds in the studio so that they can digitally add backgrounds.

Primary 7 were a credit to themselves and the school on their first outing and should be incredibly proud of themselves. Well done everyone!
