Good morning all

The weather has been so warm and sunny over the weekend, hopefully all families have had the opportunity to make the most of the sunshine and the outdoors.

In the coming weeks, the school will slowly begin to re-open to staff. This will very much be in a staggered way and will allow for some initial meetings to take place and for plans to begin to be formed around transition and our return, hopefully in August.

Online learning will continue until June 24th  for all children in Primary 1-7. Nursery families can continue to access the home learning tab within online learning journals.

Some of the discussions taking place will be considering the possibility of a brief opportunity for our new Primary 1 children to come in for a visit, in small groups, and also for our Primary 7 children to mark the end of their time at Forth in some way. You will appreciate that any plans will have to be in line with national and local government guidance therefore over the coming weeks will require careful planning and organisation. As soon as information or confirmed dates are set, parents and carers will be informed.

The focus for school staff over the next 2 weeks is to finalise children's reports. Thank you to those of you who have e-mailed your up to date address to the office. If you are still to do this, please do so soon, as this is where children's reports will be sent to before the end of term.

Thanks to all the parents and carers who have filled out the COVID response form, there have been 26 returns so far. The link for this can be found under the news section.

This weekend I watched the NASA America Space X dragon capsule launch heading to the International Space Station. NASA have a super website for children that is worth exploring. This has been included under the news section along with information regarding a free trial on Reading Eggs and internet safety activities too.

I look forward to being in touch soon with hopefully some confirmed plans for our return and transitions into new classes.

Take care and stay safe,

Mrs Wood
