Viking research

Over the last couple weeks, Primary 4 have been researching Viking gods. Each group focused on a different god, either Thor, Loki or Odin, and then we shared our learning with the rest of the class. We had to use our research skills like skimming a webpage or non-fiction book for information, making effective notes and using key words in a search engine. This was especially important so we could make sure we were researching the Viking gods and not the Marvel superheroes with the same names. We were really interested to discover that some of the days of the week are named after Viking gods! After we'd done our research, we created posters to display what we had learned.
