INFORMATION FROM VOICEABILITY

VoiceAbility are an independent and free advocacy organisation who work in partnership with clients in supporting them to apply for Social Security Scotland (SSS) Benefits. Our advocacy support is entirely independent from SSS and the Scottish government. VoiceAbility have Advocates based throughout Scotland who are ready to engage with clients. VoiceAbility advocates will ensure that clients are supported and represented; ensuring that people’s wishes, feelings, beliefs, needs, and values are considered. An advocate will support clients in the way that works best for them so they can understand what is happening and say what they want.

An advocate can help you to understand your options and support you to plan what to do next. They can help you to say what you want and don’t want. An advocate will not offer legal advice, counselling or make decisions for you.
