In the Nursery we have had great fun celebrating World Book Day.
The Gold Pod read the exciting Supertato story and explored a range of activities relating to the text including making their very own Supertato. They look fantastic!
The Blue Pod used the Very Hungry Caterpillar story as a stimulus for learning about healthy foods.
The Purple Pod discussed their likes and dislikes of books. They also enjoyed the story Luna Loves World Book Day, which is one of the £1 World Book Day books.
As well as being read stories, the Yellow Pod listened to audiobooks and animated stories. Their learning was themed around animal stories. They used drama and movement to explore the way different animals move and sound.
The Green Pod read Goldilocks and the Three Bears and The Snail and the Whale. They used different props to explore the stories and a story board for sequencing. They wrote postcards and created their own super salt dough snails.
Following the children’s interest in dinosaurs, the Red Pod explored the story Tyrannosaurus Drip before becoming budding authors themselves, creating a group story The Chameleon.
