We have been learning about famous Scottish places and we have also been learning about shapes.
When we were learning about 3D shapes we were exploring their features and we got to try and build our own.
“We used cotton buds and straws.” Aria
“We used blue tack to stick it together.” Mary
“We used the big shapes to count the number of edges so we could know how many sides it had so we did not get it wrong.” Corrie
“We counted the sides, or the faces, then we also counted the edges.” Maria
We also looked at 2D shapes and were exploring them…
“We were putting them together to make different shapes.” Poppy
When we were learning about some famous Scottish places we used Lego, loose parts, boxes, wooden bricks and K’nex to try and make some of our own.
“We used pictures of famous Scottish places to help us build. I made the Riverside Museum in Glasgow out of Lego with Callum. We even put the tall ship outside.” Olly
“Harry and I made the Queensferry Crossing bridge out of big blocks.” Jude
“I used the bottle lids to make Edinburgh Castle. I worked with Mary.” Paige
