Primary 2 have had been busy with our learning over the last few weeks.
In maths, we have been learning about o'clock and half past times and how these look on both analogue and digital clocks.
In P.E we were developing our hand-eye co-ordination and racket skills through badminton.
In health and wellbeing, we were learning all about what animals and humans need to survive and stay healthy. We also looked at the life cycles of a butterfly and a frog.
For social studies, we have been learning about our village: Forth. We explored the history of Forth and significant people who lived here, including Willie Waddell and George Gracie. We worked out that George would have been the same size as two P2 children standing on top of each other!
We also explored map making and looked at the different services Forth has to offer, including the church, the sports centre, the doctors and the takeaways!
Jessica: I know that when it's half past it shows '30' on a digital clock.
Jack: When the big hand is at 12 that means o'clock.
Harper: A caterpillar goes into a chrysalis, not a cocoon.
Dawn: After being a tadpole, it becomes a froglet then a frog!
Hugo: George Gracie would have had to duck down to fit through our classroom door!
