This is what the nursery children have been playing with, learning about and exploring in the following areas:

Literacy: In the literacy area we have explored the story “supertato” discussing different characters. We used our learning of the characters to create pictures of our super heros and created wanted posters for the evil vilians. On Friday we applied out skills to create love monster masks for Red Nose Day.

Math/STEM: We have explored 2D shapes. We created pictures using different shapes of paper and card. We played the shape monster ga,e on the c-touch applying our knowledge of shape to feed the monsters. We made paper aeroplanes, discussing the different created as we folded the paper the create the planes. We used our sense of touch to discover what shape what in the feely tub.

Creative: We explored the characters in supertato by using various materials to create our own super potato and evil pea. On Friday we celebrated Red Nose Day by decorating our own baby potatoes.

Outdoors: We have developed our skills using pedals whilst exploring the new garden area.

Construction/Small world: We have explored boxes, we used a variety of different sizes. The children have shown an amazing imagination through their play using the boxes in many different ways.
