This is what the nursery children have been playing with, learning about and exploring in the following areas:

Literacy: We have been creating Easter cards and working on out fine motor skills to colour in Easter pictures and write Easter words.

Math/STEM: We have had some Easter fun in STEM, looking at number recognition and one to one correspondence. We created symmetry eggs.

Creative: This week we have been exploring Easter and spring creativity. We’ve had belief baff, play dough, egg collage, sensory trays. We made spring pictures printing with our feet and hands- check out our window display.

Role Play: We have continued to explore doctors, we have made our own X-Ray machine, created x-rays and developed our Vocabulary with the introduction of new words such as radiographer, skull and rib bones.

Construction/Small world: We have continued to explore farm animals and their babies. We have been discovering the names of the young animals and learning about where they stay.  We used our creativity to build their homes, building sheds, barns, stables and pig sty’s.

Don’t forget to check your child’s learning journals for some more insights into their learning in nursery.

Have a lovely Spring Break
