The children in the nursery have been working on random acts of kindness and St David’s Day. We have been exploring flowers and how we can use them to symbolise kindness. We discussed at a variety of words that can represent feelings, and made our own flowers. We chose a special person in our lives, then communicated how and what they did that showed us kindness.
We used the flowers in a variety of areas around the nursery - exploring to our senses.
We then looked at the daffodil flower and discussed what it represents in the Welsh community we then made some daffodils with paint and used the media to research some Welsh words such as Bore da - meaning good morning. The children had fun writing some words and trying to speak Welsh.
