Primary 5 had a great time this week taking part in the STEM activities organised by the STEM Pupil Leadership Team in the school.
We made parachutes using plastic bags, string and cups. We developed so many skills during this activity including: applying, analysing, creating and evaluating. We also used the skills of adapting and communication where we had to listen to each other and give and receive information. We thought critically and creatively and used problem solving skills when things didn't work first time. So many skills we're sure you'll agree.
Today we used our digital technology skills to code a programme where we had to get a vehicle from one place to another by using a set of algorithms. s the levels got harder we had then to use repeat commands and loops to shorten the algorithm and make it more effective. We can't wait to do more!
So much learning yet so much fun!
