In Primary 3, we have been focussing recently on our knowledge of Place Value up to 100 and 1000. We are working hard to try and identify hundreds, tens and units places within numbers. This is something that we continue to build our independence with and this will become easier the more we practise in class and through discussions around number at home.
This week, we have looked at counting on and back in tens. We have been trying to find the tens place in a number and have worked on counting on and back in tens (and multiples of tens). This is something we continue to build resilience with as it is tricky but the children continue to work hard.
We are building lots of skills in doing so including, resilience, listening, self-motivation and problem solving as 'mistakes help our brains grow'!
Enjoy your weekend Primary 3, you've worked hard.
Mrs Padkin.
