Yesterday, Primary 1 spent the morning baking some Scottish shortbread. We discussed how to handle and work with food safely and focused on the importance of hygeine. We talked about the ingredients we needed, how to weigh these and what method we were going to use to make our shortbread.

We had the opporunity to weigh and mix together the ingredients, roll out the dough and then cut it using cookie cutters. What a fantastic learning experience! If you were lucky enough to try a piece of our shortbread - we hope you enjoyed.
