What’s coming up?

P3 Parents and Carers,

We have lots of things coming up between now and Christmas. It'll be here before we know it.

Literacy:

• Instructional Writing 
• Continued focus on joined handwriting and perfect presentation
• Nouns, Adjectives and Verbs
• Active Spelling- new sounds each week with consolidation

Numeracy & Maths:

• addition and subtraction 
• 3 and 4 times tables, with consolidation of previous learning
• Time- consolidation of 5 minute intervals and digital clocks

Other Curricular Areas:

• Harvest/Farming
• Sustainability
• Novel Study (Charlotte's Web)

Through these topics we will explore expressive arts, Religion and HWB, as well as our core Literacy and Numeracy.

Special Events:

• SPOOKTACULAR Halloween Fun 👻 
• Christmas 🎅🏽 build up 
• Continuing to collaborate with P7 😊

Additional Information:

• On Thursday mornings we do PE & Spanish with Miss Smith
• Our PE days are a Wednesday and Thursday. Please be prepared for all weathers. 
• Children are encouraged to bring indoor shoes to change into and bring a cosy jumper as we need to keep the windows open for ventilation.
